Grammarly is a cloud computing-optimized platform for English writing.
  • Developed by Grammarly Inc, the software was first released in late 2009. Grammarly's Linguistic & Written Sources verifies more than 250 grammatical rules.
  • Grammarly automatically detects grammatical, spelling, punctuation, word selection, and typing errors. Grammarly's algorithms explain potential problems in the text and suggest corrections specific to teach grammar, spelling, word, style, punctuation, and plagiarism. It is available as an extension on the following browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. Grammarly is available as an app for both iOS and Android. It also provides a monthly payment service.

  • The platform was developed in 2009 by the owner company Grammarly Inc by Alex Shevchenko and Max Lytvyn, in Kyiv. The CEO of the company is Brad Hoover.
  • In 2018, a security vulnerability was discovered in the Grammarly plugin in the web browser, which allowed all websites to access everything the user wrote in the Grammarly Editor. • When you write in English, you use Microsoft Word's spelling and grammar checker before submitting any document. That should be enough, right?
  • Unfortunately, it is not enough. It is not close enough. Word is not simply designed to be your only secure network of spelling and grammatical errors.
  • I learned it the hard way. I will not go into details, but let's say I made a very embarrassing mistake in an article I wrote. Microsoft Word never told me about that error, because technically speaking, there was no spelling in the word, but rather a terrible misuse. Therefore, the error was not attained until the article was published. It was not a good day.

  • Especially when English is not your first language, even small mistakes can give a bad impression. People start making assumptions about you based on your writing, from business and CV documents to emails, scholastic papers, social media posts, and even profiles for online dating sites.
  • A slight spelling mistake can lead to losing money. Click here to read our report.
  • You need a tool that not only recognizes mistakes but helps you learn from them so that you can improve your English.

  • You need a tool that not only recognizes mistakes but also helps you learn from them so that you can improve your English. Despite my work succeeding in the field of freewriting, I remain the queen of spelling mistakes. Several years ago, I started using Grammarly to help me deliver revised versions to my clients. After briefly using the free edition, I decided to quickly upgrade to the paid version to get additional features.
  • What I like about Grammarly
  • Here are the top reasons why Grammarly is the tool I always turn to:
  • Grammarly protects youYou write different types of content throughout the day, both professional and personal, and everything you write should communicate your message and be error-free. It is annoying that you have to copy the text into a separate tool. I know that when I rely on this method, I rush and forget (or skip this step deliberately), then I make an embarrassing mistake.
  • But with Grammarly, you have no excuses. With just a click of a button - well, a few clicks - you can install plugins for both Word and your browser (Chrome, Safari, or Firefox).
  • This means that you can run the tool on whatever you type in the browser - product reviews, social media messages, and even your profile on online dating sites - in addition to what you type in Word.
  • The next time you want to type something, you will see a Grammarly icon displayed in the text box. As you type, the tool checks your typing in real time and shows any errors in red. You'll also see a red circle with the number of errors you've made in the text box
